Tour Details

GompaLangtang is a narrow valley that lies just north of Kathmandu and south of Tibetan border. It is sandwiched between the major Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of gigantic peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7.246m), Gang Chhenpo (6.388m), Naya Kangri (5.846m), Yala peak (5.700m) and Dorji Lhakpa (6966m) are the major peaks surrounding this region. Tamangs, whose religious practice, language and dress-up are much more similar to the Tibetans, are the principle inhabitants of this region.

Helambhu, about 75 km north of Kathmandu, is an ideal place to see the magnificent Himalayas and enchanting Landscapes. This area is inhabited by Yhalmu People, who are much more similar to the Sherpa People of Khumbu region. These people are rich in their custom and culture.
